    However, from what I've heard, the ECU doesn't always throw a code with straight pipes.

    As soon as I get mine I'll pipe in with my personal experience.

    I think the earlier in 96 the car was bought the better.

    my experience....
    str8 pipes throw codes....the 2nd o2 sensor can be "tricked" with some wiring modifications.

    str8 pipes with meshing filled bungs tend not to throw codes...the rest of the pipe is straight flow though...no honeycomb.

    high flow cats do now throw codes to my experience...
